To chrisswim I live in Tampa I have a Canadain unit that is very combat ready,Also American,Russian,West Greman and British. I am new to this way of talking to people by computer. Do they let you trade miniatures with other? I have qoite a colection of micro armor, some of it is 29 years old. I have trouble finding it here. Most shops do not carry it and I cannot put in the large orders they want.Do they have conventions in Jacksonville? We have two in Tampa. Thank David Neal dnealii@tampabay.rr.com

I have been to your conventions down there a few years ago. We have some up here. I have U.S., Brit, German, French(oh, well, be kind), Russian, South Africian, Israel, Eygpt, Saudia Arabia, N Korean, S Korean, China, Irag, Iran, Indian, etc. Look forward to your response. Chris

To Mick & Paul. I guess we will have to try for a game in Gainesville after the semester is over, since I to am in grad school. As for troops, Fulcrum as some nice stuff, although I wish he was not in CA, but here in FL. I would even attack his defensive position...such fun. But for the rest of the Fl warriors, we can 'do' battle.1. I guess that I have about 2500 Russian tanks and another 2800 or so russian AFV, and then some support. this is my guess/estimate. 2. For the U.S., est. over 1000 Abrams, over 1200 Bradleys, then all the other supporting assets. I do believe in manuveur elements. 3. In South African: there are over 130 Ratel 20's, 2-3 dozen Ratel 90's, 23-Ratel 60's, 80- AML of various types(use ghq/cinc aml hull with scotia ratel 20 turret/use cinc or ghq aml 90 or 60 turret on Ratel hulls. 10 Ratel command. have 20 jeep w/entac. and supporting g-5, g-6, AA gun & missle. 30 rooikat and 36 or so Centurions. 4. UK: have couple hundred MBT's and more than that of AIFV's, & Recon of various types and support vechiles. 5. German: over 120 leopard 2a6 and 30 leopard 2a5, over 140 leopard 2, over 180 marders, recon, arty, AA assets. 6. Canada: ready to go with 50-60 lav's, 50 cougars, and 50 grizzlies, m113's with lav25 turret, adats, etc. 7. France: 90 leclerc's, 80 amx 30b2, 100 amx 10p, 50 amx 10rc, 90 aml 20/60/90, etc. 8. Dutch: leopard 2 & leopard 2a6, ypr-25, ypr-mg, ypr-at. 9. Iraqi: 10. Isarel: 11. Saudi Arabia: 12. Kuwait: 13. Egypt: 14. Austria:

The Traveling Mage has a sizeable gaming area but I am not sure if he still has both areas. I can check and let you know if you would like. Otherwise I have a 4x8 battle board and terrain which we could put on the kitchen table and play, or I have two folding tables (the large ones)which we can use.

Thank you for hosting the massive war game.... Either is suitable, if there is any way to play on 5 or 6 ft X 16 ft, that would be great for several players. If friday the host can have terrain set up(or mostly set up). Then battle all day on sat & possibly sunday. We could schedule a series of battles for the sequence of how the previous battle plays out(mini campaign). Everyone that plays can bring their stuff: either Nato, Warsaw or other and we can figure it out. Please list your nationalities that you have and list in priority order those you most prefer to play and estimate number of vechiles you have for each. Who thinks that they can make this in early Dec? we will probably game on Dec 6 or 13 in Gainesville, FL. What rule set would those that plan to play, prefer? I usually use Combined Arms(as modified).

Paul, Your friends are certainly welcome to play. We can have two/three game tables at the same time part of a mini-campaign. We will let them play with your stuff. mos10a12: I'll bring an extra jacket for your comfort to the game. This should be a lot of fun with your tanks burning all over the battlefield. Bring all your Canadians & other stuff. We can have the Canadians beat an American Task Force, then kick some Russians butts.... Rules: Combined Arms is what I ususally use, with some modifications. Paul: Get real, you do not have a chance even against my recon force, 3rd Armored Cav, or the 11th Armored Cav. Of course, it is backed up by the 1st Armored Division, 24th Infantry Div, and 10th Mtn., 1 MEU-SOC. Would you prefer to fight all at once, or in sequence? "My armies will crush you!" A class room sounds great, having several cafeteria tables would be great. we may be fighting & rolling dice until late at night, although your vechiles will light up the night sky as they erupt in flames from APFSDSDU & HEAT rounds impact. oh, you might get very lucky and knock out a supply truck or a few apc's/tanks, but that will be about it. So be ready to surrender & save yourself. Chris

I have some buildings and terrain, I'll bring what I have. Chris, yes I would like to play the U.S. (Also I have some air stuff.) I have (1) heavly reinforced U.S. brigade (1) task force (Armor hvy) (1) Armor Btn. (1) mech btn. (1) Air mobile btn/ or marine mech btn (1) reinforced cav troop (1) m-60 btn. ( unsupported) U.K.(1) task force Fr. (1) task force Ger. (1) task force dutch/belg. (1) light btn USSR/Russia (1) t-80 regiment (1) t-t2 regiment (combined arms) (1) motor rifle regiment (reinforced) (1) recon btn (1) independant m-r btn (1) allied btn (pick the comm. nation) With all of these forces I have support. ( What would most likely be found at the front.) Also, I have some nukes. Maybe we could do a senario that requires one side to prevent the other from launching, and also to gain the tech. on the nuke systems. Maybe even a three way fight to secure the weapons. One side has the weapons, two other sides try to get them. This would be a messy fight. No alliances, or coalations.Time limits for the supression of weapons use would drive the two other sides to get there first, maybe keep the pace fast. What do you think people? I could also bring by forces painted in 3-tone Nato, or my desert forces.
